About

Rabbi Jason Rosner performing his son Sacha's brit milah ceremonyPerforming my son Sacha’s Circumcision

Choosing a mohel is choosing trust

I bring clinical training, pastoral sensitivity, and a commitment to doing this work with both precision and heart. My goal is simple: to help your family mark this sacred moment with confidence and peace knowing you are in capable, experienced hands.

Training and mentorship

I trained as a mohel under Rabbi Gary Atkins, learning the traditional techniques and ritual elements that shape a meaningful brit milah ceremony. Clinical observerships at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and Glendale Pediatrics. Before becoming a mohel, I served as a Chaplain Candidate in the United States Air Force and a Chaplain at Skirball Hospice (LA Jewish Health).

Community Service

I have dedicated my life to helping people become Jewish and find practices suitable to each person’s interests and personality. I serve as the Executive Director of the Sandra Caplan Community Bet Din (Rabbinical Court for Southern California). In this capacity I oversee Conservative, Reform, Renewal, and Recon Conversions to Judaism for Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Bernardino and Riverside Counties as well as Military Bases.

Beyond Circumcision, I have served for 10 years in congregations ranging from 80 to 500 families facilitating part of the human lifecycle with a commitment to personally tailored, meaningful ceremonies.
